Společně s Birgirem připravila a pomáhala realizovat mezinárodní výměnu mládeže s názvem Multicultural Filmmaking.

About me:

My name is Valentina , I’m 24 years old and I come from Bologna, Italy. I decided to become an EVS volunteer because I wanted to make an international work experience after the end of my studies and, since I’ve studied Foreign Languages at university, moving to another European country looked like a good idea!

I decided to come to Czech Republic because, after studying Russian at university, I thought it would be interesting, and also not too hard to learn another Slavic language.

My hobbies:

I love meeting new people, travelling and reading. I also like teaching and learning new languages, and teaching languages is one of the activities I would like to do during my stay at ICM. I also like theatre, although I’m too shy to be an actress  but I would like to start an English theatre group in ICM, so anyone who wants to join it is very welcome!

I also like photography, and another thing I would like to do is to organize photo exhibits in ICM, because I believe that photos help us looking at things with “new eyes”.

About Bologna:

Bologna is, well, in my opinion the best city in all of Italy! I’m partial, because I come from there, just like my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and so on! The three symbols of Bologna are the university, the towers and the arcades.

Bologna is home to the oldest university in the world, founded in 1088. Many students come from other parts of Italy and from abroad to study in Bologna, and that’s why Bologna is a real “students’ town”, with many things to do.

Bologna is also famous for its two medieval towers, which were built in 1200. It’s also possible to climb on the towers, although it’s a really long way up! From the towers one can enjoy a really wonderful view on the town’s landscape.

Another nice thing to do in Bologna is to walk under its arcades. We have 37 km of arcades in town. They were built around 400 years ago, and they stretch throughout the centre, which means that if you are in the center of Bologna and it starts raining, you don’t have to worry about it because you’re always going to have some roof over your head!
